Cockpit Arts is an award winning social enterprise and the UK’s only business incubator for craftspeople, housing up to 170 small businesses. Cockpit Arts support craft practitioners at the start of their careers, as well as those who are more established. Cockpit Yard on Northington St in Clerkenwell where Cockpit Arts are situated has an incredible history with the building in the 1700’s originally being used as a cockpit fighting arena, before then being occupied by British cabinet maker John Westcott in 1745.

With such a rich history it seemed a shame for the branding to lack personality and have no reference to its intriguing past. The re-brand inspired by the original cabinet makers mark now places craftsmanship at the heart of the brand. The cockerel now features as a bold graphic detail, displaying the creative flair of the current Cockpit Arts practitioners.
